Al-Hikma College of Medical Sciences is a private health college established in the city of Dhamar in 2004, previously known as Al-Hikma College of Medical Sciences and Technology, with a license from the Ministry of Public Health and Population as the first private educational institution in the governorate with 3 medical specialties (pharmacy technician - laboratory technician - medical assistant) The establishment of the college in Dhamar governorate was linked to the urgent need to cover the requirements of the governorate for medical staff in government and private facilities.
The study system at Al-Hikma College is based on the credit hour system, according to which the academic year is divided into two semesters of 18 weeks each, and the duration of study in any department of the college is 3 academic years.
Students who have passed all courses are awarded a higher diploma, and the institute offers about 24 free scholarships annually.
The college did not stop at granting a high diploma, but continued to expand and develop and was the first building block for the establishment of the Hikma Educational Foundation (University Institute of Medical Sciences - Hikma College of Medical Sciences and Technology - Hikma University).
